scrounged a sack full of pulleys free
bought a partial used tailwheel for 250, had to remachine part if it ... free
set up my own corporation for $100, bought all the fabric and dope wholesale for about 2500
guy gave me a set of nice like-new seats
did some horse-trading for the landing-gear
bought a 0-time O320 for 8K from a friend of a guy I contacted through barnstormers. add 500 for a yellowtage carbureor and two rebuilt bendix mags

Will still need prop (a guy offered to sell me a wood prop for 500), windshield & windows, some bolts,nuts,nut-plates,etc

I've been building on my Patrol for about 8 years, so started out when things were a little less expensive
I had thought I could do it for 15, I will go over, but seriously doubt it will cost me 20
