The BH5 made it to Brazil. Now putting it together.

Making progress, not as fast as some others on here but: Video from "Wing Install Day" and some great progress on avionics. Also some great progress on the avionics.

A little behind here, but wanted to let everyone know we took delivery of our BH5 quickbuild kit mid-August of 2021. We don't plan to set any speed records for our build time!! Our plan is to have this plane on straight floats flying for missions in Brazil (www.amazonsaltandlight.org).

I had a hard landing after an engine failure late last year. This is a Quickbuild bearhawk and we did not reinforce any of the fuselage. We followed the suggestions of Clamar and Mark . Ripped the floats off but very little damage to the fuselage.

Finally got to the point where I could weigh the plane with the new Clamar Amphibs. Empty weight (7qts oil) is 1785 pounds. Previous (wheels) empty weight was 1,471. The landing gear and tailwheel weighed 98.3 pounds. That means the Amphibs (with all attachments, hydraulic oil, etc) weighed 412...

Does anyone know if there is a Bearhawk flying with amphibs? Looking hard at Clamar or Montana but would really like more info. It sounded like the yellow one that was on a thread here last month is not currently flying? Thanks Matt

Anyone help me with what type of brakes I have? It has a fairly large lining (6 rivets) with double pucks- no markings. Thanks!!
