After fabricating my transfer tank fuel line, I am not happy with a small gouge left by the flaring tool. I think I didn't tighten the tool enough, and the tubing moved slighty during the flare.
I tried polishing it, but am not 100% satisfied with it. If it were ever to break or crack, I am certain it would be at that location, so I have decided to go ahead and remake the line.
I live close enough to the Aircraft Spruce store in TX to pick it up, but they only stock it in California and Georgia. I have looked for some local suppliers, but haven't found any that have 12' lengths.
If anyone has any suggestions for suppliers in the North Texas area, I am all ears.
I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and order from Spruce with LTL Freight shipping. I doubt adding a second one, or one or two 3/8 spares will add much more to the shipping cost. If anyone nearby would like to add to the order, I would be happy to order more.
