EFII Fuel Pump Module in a Patrol ---- location??

Curious if anyone has a fuel injected Patrol and the EFII fuel pump module. Trying to figure out where to best place it. My initial thoughts are to locate it on the forward cabin floor, aligned with aircraft longitudinal axis between the pilot's legs/rudder pedals and forward of the fuel selector valve. Then make a cover tunnel box (think transmission hump) to protect it. I think I can house the filter and pump there which would facilitate filter servicing. Let me see your examples and hear any thoughts. Always appreciated.
Bearhawk Aircraft would like to know what you guys are doing with the electric boost pump and Patrol model airframe. Thanks!

I mounted Johan’s mod 5 pump on the tunnel bulkhead with a .063 doubler. Should work on a Patrol.

Steve W I think the Mod 5 has larger physical space available? Seems I recall trying to place the fuel pump module there, but wouldn't really fit. I'll revisit once I get back in the workshop. Thanks for posting the pics, that's a nice install and I appreciate your time to post and reply!

Think the tunnel bulkhead is about the same depth but shorter of course on the patrol. If you have the same pump, it shud work

Steve W It DOES fit!! Made a template for a doubler this afternoon and will rivet in place after laying out attach bolt locations for the pump. Glad I asked the forum and glad you answered with pics. Don't know why I had discounted that space after considering it a few months ago?

Dave it can fit on either side of the former.

I am building a Bearhawk 4 A model and just decided to add a standby fuel pump. The EFII pump will not fur I’m the former. Anybody see a problem mounting it to the engine side of the firewall. Fuel line would run from the gascolater to the firewall, through a firewall fitting then to the EFII pump then to the engine driven pump. Any issues?

I fit an Airflow Performance fuel pump under the floor of my Patrol aft of the former, to the right of the control stick torque tube parallel to it. Its hung from tubing using Adel Clamps. Fuel exits the gascolator, bends around the front stick, goes aft then makes a u-turn to enter the fuel pump. Ill get photo later.

Airplane3472 I ended up mounting the EFII pump behind the forward former on my Patrol. I had considered it on the engine side firewall like CubCrafters does with their pump on the Carbon Cubs I've seen (they also use a heat shield around the pump) but didn't want to give up the available real estate on the firewall. On another build I had the dual EFII pump module on the firewall (which is fine according to Robert of EFII) and I didn't have any issues. I would recommend planning on using a heat shield of some sort...Good Luck with it!

500AGL Peter, where did you source that blue tube clip holding the wire bundle to the fuselage tubing? I could use some of those...

DBeaulieu, Bearhawk can sell you a few. Straight, Angled left, Angled right, .75, .625, .875. And then former clips for running down the fuselage under the floor.
