Scratch Built Bearhawk 4 Window latch mods? It makes things uncomfortable to fly.....Thanks

I may be the only one but it seems like when I fly the Bearhawk 4 my left arm above the elbow gets chewed up by the J-shaped latch for the window. Came out bloodied a few times...Takes the fun out of flying......

Yep, you’re correct.
I do not have any photos of mine, might be able to snap a few Wednesday.
Verbal description, 1.5 x .125 AL angle cut up to look like pistol, barrel forward, handle down is the latch. Lift / pull back on barrel to rotate handle to point forward, allowing window to push out….

The factory windows that I have experienced move the j hook forward to a location equal to about your fourth screw, counting from the front. This moves it out of the arm travel area. This is a mod that you could do to your existing window but it would involve welding and painting.
