Using AI to help design and visualise a colour scheme

I just tried ChatGPT for the first time...wow! ...uploaded a couple of photos to try and visualise some colour schemes. Could't believe how easy it was to use, not quite perfect but within 5 minutes I was getting good ideas.

'Stretch the nose 170mm please' and hey presto ( I need to move the lighter UL Power 220hp motor a little forward ). 'add a four blade Airmaster prop" - bing!

I asked it to add floats, then suggest a colour scheme from Gulf Racing cars of the 1960s. I upgraded to a small monthly fee but that would have taken me days to try and muddle through on any traditional drawing program. Good fun!

Very cool Paul! Definitely a useful tool and much better than a recent experience of mine. I tried using Claude to make a line drawing of a Bearhawk, based on a photograph. It went on and on for a long while about all the things it was going to do, with several follow up questions about methodology and everything and then with much anticipation I downloaded the image:

Safe to say that Claude is optimized around text and not graphics!

I'm very excited to see your plane coming together and look forward to seeing it in person one of these days.
 
Aw man!! that's soo funny! You'd be welcome to come over to Ireland, much and all as I'd love to fly her to Oshkosh some day!

I especially appreciate the iteration. I don't have a paid Open AI account anymore but back when I was using their image generation, I felt like every request to tweak something minor resulted in an entirely fresh and different image. Gemini was great for making minor adjustments to an existing output.
