What control pitch props are people using these day?

Since I have the same prop as Dennis had, not completely sure I’m willing to fly behind it and wondering what prop people are using and if they’re happy with it.

Hey Donna, I thought I'd add some data I am getting with my Hartzell.

RE: takeoff & landing, I did my first STOL event this summer. I'm a rookie, enjoy being judged, not polished, practiced about 2 hours weeks before the event. The result was measured and judged. Score was 375' (TO + Land distance) with a 20 pound tool box and 30 gallons of gas, calm wind, 80F.

Climb: With me and gas I climb light weight at 90 kts and 1000 fpm and keep through about 7,000' and let the airspeed decrease to 75 kts. On colder days I reach 10K in about 11-12 minutes. Longer in the summer. I also keep 85 KIAS in the summer in the climb due to oil temps. I was doing 500'/min at 85 kts approaching 14,500' earlier this week.

Cruise speed improves higher up to a point. I might be 125 mph at 2000' and 7 gph. By 8500' light weight, I get 140 mph on 7.2gph. Here are some results up higher. I'd call the 10,500 FF 6.6 +/-.1 gph.

I sense that My Bendix FI and electronic mags contribute strongly to fuel economy.
