  • Shock Strut Materials

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for the parts for the shock struts, I can't seem to locate the correct springs or the 2 1/8" x .065 tubing for the body. Does anybody have pointers?

    Thanks, Todd

That particular tubing does not exist any more. Unobtanium. You have two choices. One is to have the whole upper part of the shock strut made on a lathe out of 1018 or another suitable material, or alternately buy the parts already made from us, the kit company. Bob Barrows did make an engineering change where you can see the drawing of how that tube and the top sleve are now one turned part.

We don't have them listed on our website "Parts Store", but we would sell them for $45 each + shipping ($12). You can contact me privately if you would like a pair. Mark (N95MF@hotmail.com)

You can order the correct springs from here http://clarkandosborne.com/. You want to order 2 x EH200-800. They are $47.20 a piece (can you tell I just got some ? :-)
