  • Hole size in rear support bracket sheet 11

Hi Guys, I found a discrepancy in the lower hole size of the rear support bracket for the support frame assembly. The prints call for a 1/4" hole while the bearhawk book calls for a 3/16" hole in the welding jig. I am assuming that the prints are correct and it should be a 1/4" hole so my question is whether I should leave the hole in the welding jig 3/16" per the bearhawk book or go ahead and open it up to a 1/4" hole? Looking through the prints and the builder manual I cannot see any place that needs a 3/16" hole in that location. The picture in the builders manual shows it being 1/4" per the prints. Thanks in advance for the help.

Leave the 3/16ths in the jig. You can always open it up to 1/4 when the welding is done. Just as a general rule, leave bolt holes undersized if possible when making parts. This will allow you to favor the final size hole one way or another if necessary when the part is installed.
