Stainless Exhaust Tunnel

Bearhawk Aircraft provides a stainless steel exhaust tunnel for their QB kits (don't know the thickness/alloy). The July 1998 Beartracks newsletter specifies 5052H-32 aluminum sheet for the tunnel. Is anyone making theirs out of SS? If so, why and what thickness/alloy are you using?

I used .016" 304 SS.
It will give you a longer "burn time" should you have an engine fire, the same purpose as the fire wall.
