  • Flap pushrod bushing

Hi Guys, on page 12 of the prints there is a little bushing for the flap pushrod. The plans give the dimensions of the bushing but do not state what it should be made of. Should these be machined from bronze or will steel tubing work? I believe that 1/4" x .028 tubing is the correct dimensions. Also, should there be a grease zerk or oil point on that pivot point? Thanks

I used 1/4" Brass tube sold at aircraft spruce Part # 03-17300 and lube it well with Never sieze.

I used 4130 steel tube - lube it well before assembly. Eric Newton Eric Newton - Long Beach, MS http://mybearhawk.com

Thanks, it sounds like I can go either way with it. I have steel tubing the right size so I will go that route and smear antisieze over it before final assembly.

Antiseize is made to prevent seizure, oil and greases are made for lubricating. just saying.
