  • center rib .032 rear lightening hole shape

in my plans the rear lightening hole on the center .032 ribs are to be round with the smaller 1 inch hole beneath it. In Russ Erbs cd he has oval holes in those 032 ribs at the rear lightening hole with a small hole adjoined at the 2 oclock position rather than the round lightening hole. is anyone aware of what he did there and able to explain why, or do i stick with the plans and use the round lightening hole at the rear center rib, with the 1 inch hole beneath...then worry about aileron cable hole later. thanks in advance. gary wallace

I think that earlier plans had the rear lightening hole in 032 ribs oval. After stress tests it was canged to smaller round hole. I will go with round hole and 1 inch flap torque tube hole. Will leave aileron cable relief holes for later.
