  • European plans certification procedure

Please help plans certification procedure if anybody has managed to get a set of these plans through the stage of passing the EASA regulations please let me know. As I can not find any stress test information on the fuselage or wings. Although they seem to be a great number of these planes flying above American skies and in the real world this is a great endorsement but the plants give no information on security or stress testing. Making it impossible for me to get the go ahead to build as without this information I cannot get in airworthiness certificate in Europe.

Well !! I have tried to register the Bearhawk self build project with the LAA in England but they have highlighted a few issues with the design ,maybe if Bud or Bob spends a few $$$ and puts the design through http://www.autodesk.com/solutions/fi...ement-analysis maybe they can argue the issue`s or prove the claims that its good for 6.6g ???https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Dw5qikiE74
but until then Avipro will not be selling many kits in Europe !!

The customer service is questionable as well But i digress the structural integrity does not meet the advertised claims as far 23 !! go figure as they say ???

Although in that video you heard Budd say 6.6g, the plans say differently. Take a look at sheet one of the plans (attached here), and you'll see it's rated at 2500 pounds at 4.5g. This is the same as the Utility Category of aircraft (+4.4/-2.2g). Now the wings themselves were destructively tested by the factory to well in excess of 6g (about 6.4g, if memory serves).

So if your'e going in telling your regulatory agencies that it's a 6.6g airplane, then you're not giving the correct information. Believe what's on the plans. It's the sole source of truth. And don't be afraid to call The Bob. I'm sure he'll fill you in on any information you need to provide your regulators.

Not sure how you managed to have any customer service problems with the BH factory. Mark Goldberg is about as solid a human as they come, and he welcomes calls and emails at nearly any time. If you were unable to get ahold of him once, I'm sure it won't happen twice!
