  • Fuel Cap Vents enough?

I have standard fuel tanks that I am about to install into the wings and wondering if the vented fuel caps are enough or is it recommended to add more vents? The factory fuel tanks do not come with any provision for vents from what I see. It does have ports on the outboard side for plumbing the aux tanks, can one of them be used as additional vent?

There is no need for additional venting. All you need to do is be diligent about installing the caps correctly (vent hole facing forward) every time you open the tanks.

    By the way......
At times, full fuel tanks will overflow out the cap vent. I think this problem would still occur with any other design of vent too.
If you fill the tanks 100% in the morning, by the heat of the afternoon they'll be overflowing very slowly. Or if you park the plane on a slope with the fuel selector onto both.
