    Any words of wisdom from those that has installed Dynon heated pitot? If anyone has distances or best location, would appreciate the data

    We put ours just aft of the spar, using the web to help support the doubler plate.
    We located it just outboard of the lift strut attach point. Inboard from the lift strut affords some extra protection, but then the fuel tank leaves little room for such an install.
    Ours screws into place using flush screws and nut plates. We did this to make the install / removal easier. If you ever need to remove the wings for some reason, the pitot is very exposed to being damaged, unless you remove it. Of course you never really want to remove the wings, but sometimes it's unavoidable.
