  • Top Fuselage - View L, Center line to Center line rule or bisect corner??

Finished my rudder yesterday, except for putting some tabs on for probable trim tab mounting.

Started layout of top fuselage. Now I'm not a structural engineer and have a question if someone can help me. Everything I've read for tubing layout is center line to center line. On the top fuselage, the T5 tubing that runs from the big Station O tube (1.375") and goes to front corners, should it be on center line intersect or split where the longeron and front tube meet.

View L shows it both bisecting the two tubes AND on centerline. Angle so acute, will barely touch longeron tube. The View L has me questioning the center line to center line rule.

I've tried to research this and not coming up with a "oh that's how you do it" yet. Usually I can find the answer to my little questions on Russ's CD, Eric's Manual, Paul M's or Wayne M's kitlog site. If there is somewhere I missed the answer or I should have looked elsewhere - please "Hey Dummy, look here". This is part of my "education and research" under the Amatuer Built purpose.

Thanks for any and all help.

This is what I did. I asked Bob about it at the time and he said it was ok.

Thanks for the help Paul You have been more help than you know. I've been eyeballing your Kitlog progress as an additional reference. Been a huge help. Appreciate the effort you put into it. Working hard to catch up with you.
