rib attach angles--- variations ?

has anyone tried using something like a 3/4 extruded 6061 1/16 thick aluminum angle there ? seems like it might be easier to deal with because it lay flat more naturally---- but it would depend if it is strong enough (or stiff enough-) ----- i have a ways to go before i need those :-)

Strong enough and stiff enough, quite likely more than enough. Heavier? Almost absolutely
