  • Type 1 engine isolators for IO-540

I’ll post this as new topic but it’s not I think but now sure where it should be so here’s my question.
    Background first:
I have a type 1 engine mount which didn’t match the type 2 “ears” of my engine when it came. So I have type 1 “ears” coming but the isolators I had previously purchased were type 2 so they have to go back to AS and in conversation with Vergil he pointed me to his website for the proper call out which is LORD J-3804-28.
Here’s the question, has anyone used anything other than this particular isolator for a similar set up?
Reason being they are available but at $465 and up for a single assembly it’s a bit off putting. Now while I’m rather used to being gouged in this aviation related activity and can and will use these to keep the build going I’d rather not if there is an acceptable different path.
i my search of this forum I did find references to using Lord J-3804-20 for a similar application but I can’t seem to locate to ask if that worked or not.
Is there a Berry isolator that substitute?
    Any input would be helpful.

I believe Barry 94011-02 is a compatible mount and is less than the Lord. You would have to double-check the compatibility. FWIW I used the Lord -28.
