  • Firewall mounting

On the bottom corners of both sides of the firewall these is a rivet that sits against the fuselage. Should I grind this back or not worry.

Simon, I had the same issue and just ground those two rivets down flush.

      Thanks Tim.

I have just noticed the river next to it has been mounted flush. Was this to solve this issue or for something else yet to be discovered?

Probably just the flush rivet placed in the wrong spot. Mark

Simon - you don't want to leave it like that. The vibration will eat it away in no time.

It should have a flush rivet like that photo you've posted. Drill it out and replace it with a flush-head rivet.

From memory, I had this same problem too.

Thanks Jonathan that is what I ended up doing. Initially I ground it down then thought better and drilled it out

I brought it to the factory's attention that that one flush head rivet was put in the wrong hole. MG
      Working...
