Mounting wing transfer pump

I am considering just mounting the aux tank transfer pumps on the lower wing skin with a 5"x 5" .032 skin doubler under it. Does that sound adequate?

Hi Rod. On my 4 place I mounted the transfer pump on a hat section of .050. The hat section was riveted to the bottom skin, and the fuel pump bolted with AN3 bolts to the hat section. Located pretty near the aux tank fuel outlet. I did put a fuel filter between the tank and transfer pump. Mark
