No problem. The wings are very light at this point. Besides, if it can't take that small load, I don't want them on my airplane!

Lose the hassle, not your stuff with Tie Boss - A multi-use tool that makes hoisting up and tying down a breeze. American operated business who specializes in designing easy to use tie downs and hoists.
Just another option... I picked up some of these (1/4 and 3/8") from a vendor at Airventure in the fly market last summer. I think they should work for suspending the wings, I'm using them for hanging a canoe and bikes from the garage ceiling right now. They have a block and tackle setup also that would probably be ideal for hoisting. See the "Products" tab on the home page . Amazon has them too by the way.
I just remembered that the rope supplied on these would probably be too short to loop around the wing. I replaced mine with 25" each to loop around the canoe and have plenty of extra length. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Paul, I'd say they're about 5 to 5 1/2 feet off the floor. I hear ya-- the whole reason for hanging them is to prevent dents from floor operations in the hangar. I'd like to get them higher but I like having a shallower conversion of the yellow straps above to as to not apply lateral pressure to the trailing edge sheet metal. Also my hoist system pulleys and stuff just couldn't get me much higher. I have to say, kinda scary hoisting your $19,000 wings above a concrete slab.
Thanks for the tip on the plastic wrap. We get those little bastard mud dauber wasps out here in Oregon too.

Will the plastic wrap encourage condensation and subsequent corrosion for us in humid climates? For those of us who may or may not choose to prime internal surfaces?Christopher Owens

Good question, and I don't know the answer. I have yet to see any condensation on the plastic, but I have seen mud daubers and I know they'd love to make a condo out the wings.

I think Mark said something to the effect of 125 lbs each IIRC, but I could not be remembering correctly. I positioned the straps at ribs, used stiff carpet to help spread some of the pressure on the leading edge, and I made sure my straps convergence angle was greater than the wing profile so that the weight couldn't curl over the loose trailing edge wing skins.

Hi Guys,
Just a quick one, I'm planning to build a bench for my workshop - and for storage place the wing crates under it. Then I can get out each wing, put it on the bench and work on it. Does anyone know the outside dimensions of the crates, stacked two high like in the photos above?
Thanks in advance,

I hung my wings from the ceiling....whilst I finish the Pacer rebuild.
I'm done with the Pacer fuselage less the sky light....waiting on another sheet of green tint.
To move the Pacer to the hanger...one wall, some windows and an arctic entry in the way.
How long does it take to remove part of a building? Bout a minute
