Alright, WOOHOO, it's done. Jarred, you can take two pins off the map and put little airplanes in their place!! WOW, the plane fly's fantastic. On the ground the lady in the box yelled at me only once ( oil pressure too high )when I ran up the throttle before the oil temps were ready. The take off was a bit slow due to that's what the book wanted for first flight. Nothing high performance at this time. The last 10 yrs has been in a Citabria, so that is what I have to compare it too. It is NOT a Citabria by any means. A stick in the right hand and that's pretty much it. It is lighter and more responsive and did tight 360's without hardly any effort at all. A lot of information coming in from the sky view and actually, it's still registering. All temps were normal with a slight decrease in CHT after 30 min. A cool 44 degree day and the oil temps never got over 177. Used the prop control to get to 70% power, otherwise without it could only get 55% at around 2500 RPM. Like I said lots of info coming in and hard to get it out of the brain and onto the paper right now. I saw 130 MPH indicated at somewhere between 65 and 70% power. Had to hold left rudder it seems to keep it straight and level. A bit bumpy at what I think was 3000 feet. (Forgot to set the alt. before I left the ground.) During slow flight, I had a bit of a problem with getting out the flaps, but I think a bit slower and it would have been OK. Also getting them back in I needed two hands. I only used 20 degrees for slow flight practice and landing. Slow flight handling was fantastic with lots of control at 50 to 60 indicated. The landing was pretty awesome, as it made what I think was a not so good one look like a good one. Much better vis over the nose then I expected too. WOW, sorry, I could go on and on but I'll get some more experience and some more meaningful numbers ASAP. Also have some video and will post when I get that figured out. Donna

I think I figured this out-- https://vimeo.com/201258085. It is "The first landing". Pardon the quality of the video, but I Was not in charge of the camera and based on the quality of the take off video, I think we're fortunate to get what we got 🌞D. In defense of the cameraman, he has very little experience in the touchiness of the iPad.Last edited by Flygirl1; 01-27-2017, 11:10 AM.

I guess these inversions are nice for first flights. We still have icy snowy slushy crap everywhere out here.Christopher Owens

Great news Donna, and I love the paint scheme! My new small goal is to get a photo of yours parked next to ours one day since they are so similar. You've got some great data recording capabilities in the Skyview, so there's no need to waste pilot brainpower on remembering that stuff. Use the free section of https://savvyanalysis.com to process it all after the fact. Or if you're feeling bold, upload the data and post a link and we'll all be your Monday morning quarterbacks, free of charge.
