  • Sealant for Lexan

I'm in the process of installing leading edge landing lights. The lexan is going to be installed inside the wing skin. I'm looking for a sealant to prevent water penetration into the wing that won't affect the lexan and would allow removal if necessary.

That sounds like a good use for Lexel.

I searched on Amazon. I ended up using Permatex Windshield and Glass Sealant. It flows well when the parts are mated. When dry the parts can be separated with difficulty. This may work well to seal skylights and windshields. I tested it with lexan, before using, will test it with plexiglas before using it.
