I guess Jared is too modest to mention his article in June AOPA pilot. Really good job of writing and photos. Something I have a big desire to do, but will have to wait until the Bearhawk is flying.

I'm not a subscriber to aopa but would love to see the write up on PPG! I used to fly for 6 years and it probably spoiled me for life. You a foot launcher Jared?

Did you see that PPG article on the BCP site? I see that in your future.

For anyone building a Bearhawk I highly recommend NOT flying PPGs! If you do you won’t get anything done on your Bearhawk! Don’t ask me how I know…

Ppg leads me to sherk responsibilities far beyind just the Bearhawk. My only saving grace is not living in Florida where the weather is generally better.

              Is it noisy?

A 172cc 2-stroke single next to your ear at 7200 RPM, heaving a 46" prop, with a nice parabolic reflector right over your head? Yeah, a bit noisy.

I wear over-the-ear muffs and it's not too bad. Not any noisier than the Bearhawk cabin.
