I have it from my handyman days and used it quite a bit for interior work. The great thing about this is it's self-leveling and three-axis. You can also select which axis is on individually. It is not for outdoor use for leveling foundations, but that's ok. 3/32" accuracy at 30ft is more than acceptable. Not cheap, but good tools seldom are.

I have one I bought from lowes, it works as expected but it has to be dark in the room to be able to see the lines. I have found it not very useful. a water level is much more useful. It can be seen in the light. Maybe the more expensive professional models put out a brighter light? Water levels are cheap and you cant fool gravity.

I bought this back in 2017 : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017LTFSSG/ and have been very pleased. Started out as a nice to have.....but I've lost count how many times I've used it on my build.

That one has a green laser. I'd say look for a level with one of those. Every time I get hit with a laser in the air its green and its pretty bright several thousand feet away.
