    According to EarthX, the max operating temp is 60c, but 85c when not in operation.

    I've watched an EAA webinar (that there is no chance I could find again) where an EarthX directly stated that they were not worried about some heat soak after shutdown.

      Mine is on the engine side because that's where the battery box was when I bought the plane. EarthX and my measurements say its fine. If I were building I'd try to put it on the cabin side and be sure to use a battery with the vent option. I'd expect the battery to last longer at the lower temperatures.

          In the end that is what I decided to do as well. The cable run to my ACM is less than 12”
