I'm trying to figure out what prop Governor I need for an angled valve IO540 L1B5 and a 82 inch Trailblazer prop 3 blade composite

I used the PCU5000X, which has been flawless. You just specific the engine it's going on and the orientation you require, and they do the rest.

The eastern European version the PCU also seems popular, but I can't recall or spell the name. I'm not sure if they are made by the same people, or if they are a copy? Someone will know more.

You should also be able to get a governor from Haztzell directly, although theirs are much more bulky and in my opinion, less attractive. There have been a few problems reported over the years, just with getting them tuned up correctly to begin with - no long term issues that I know about.

Thanks - that's the one I was trying to describe.

If you're in the US, and I suppose also elsewhere, Whirlwind Propeller in California sells the Jihostroj (PCU5000) governors at a price that can't be beat, and they usually have them in stock. That's where I got mine, they provided excellent service. I have no affiliation with them, just a happy customer.
