Tailwheel Chain breaking While Taxiing

    I'll add another data point here: I had the same or very similar clips as these, and during my transition training with Jared, he recommended I safety wire them to keep them from falling off. I promptly forgot about that and went and did first flight. Somewhere on my landing, I bounced the tailwheel a couple times, but didn't notice anything else, control felt fine, and I used some brakes to steer back to the hangar. Back at the hangar, it appears one of them had come loose through the gap, and that had caused the other to overstress the clip and bend out, so both chains were dangling. I replaced both clips with ones from the drawer that look a bit beefier, and safety wired them this time.
