I was considering using something to increase the friction on the pedals/brakes. Though maybe bed liner. Anyone else do this? Thx!

Skateboard grip tape works well for that -
I suggest flying your plane long enough to make your decision, as it really will come down to personal preference.
I have never found slipping to be an issue, and have never once found myself needing more grip. That said, I tried some grip tape skateboard stuff, right back at the beginning of having the the plane. But the grip wore off and it was doing nothing - plus it looked scrappy - so I removed it.
If anything, I think the grip was more of an annoyance for me in hindsight. I like being able to easily slide my feet up and down as required.Comment
