Yaesu handheld VHF radio mount. Designed to clip onto cockpit tubing.

Quell Carbon Monoxide monitor mount. Replaces the battery compartment cover that it comes with, to provide a secure tubing attachment.

Various tubing grips. Currently to fit 3/4" tuning with more sizes being added. The tubing grips can be combined with other items to provide secure mounting for radios, CO monitors, headset battery holders etc. Can also be used to attach wing root panels and cargo compartment bulkhead panels in place, and allow for easy removal to facilitate inspections.

What type of material did you print these in?

I have found that tube grips like these can be too loose or tight depending on what they are designed for and printed in.

For example, if you tested the fit with PLA, which is stiff, and print it in PETG, which has more flex, then it will fit loose.

Print settings will also affect the fit. More walls and more infill will make the part stiffer too.

What type of material did you print these in?

That's all really good to know thanks. I printed these in ABS for the final versions. They still need plenty of field testing for longevity to see how they are affected by heat, but I think we're on the right track. Currently I'm doing a phone holder to clip onto the diagonal windshield tubing. Fair to say there's been a fair amount of nerding out.....

ABS is a good choice and should hold up well to the heat. I really like the whole concept to mount things somewhere other than the panel.

I've not entered into this arena because I use an Apple Macbook and believe software is based on PC's. Am I wrong?
