  • Patrol wings vs LSA wings

Are the wings of a patrol much different than LSA? Im no longer building Patrol but would like to convert to LSA if I can use most of my wing parts already fabricated and primed.
    Thanks Dave

others far more knowledgeable will be long shortly, but the LSA wing is a longer, skinnier wing with no flaps. i can’t imagine they share much in common at all. the chord of the patrol is really deep compared to an LSA.

I don't think you'll find any common parts between the two. In the early days of the Patrol, before there was an LSA, Bob was willing to help folks build a Patrol light enough to do well at 1320 gross. You might chat with him to see what his current thoughts are on the idea of making a light Patrol. Are you after a self-certified medical with the LSA, and have you ruled out Basic Med?
