Rubber Horn Thickness

Just a heads up on anyone wanting to use an AN115-21 shackles to connect their rudder cables; the .090" horn material doubled with another .090" washer will be too thick to use the shackles. Inside distance on the shackle is .150". To move up to the 1/4 shackle is overkill.

.030 doesn't sound like much of a problem, can you bend one a little?

The shackles are quite thick and any spreading would misalign the holes plus you will need a little more clearance for movement. I used .063" and left it at that. All the extra tab is for wear of the horn ends.
