Fuselage Wing Root Fittings

I welded up the fuselage wing root fittings as to what I could interpret from the plans. I can't see any additional strength welding the inside of the outer plates onto the center piece on top. The plans show a weld on the finger piece that is bent around the top longeron and another bead on the outside of the outer plate on the top. Every time a cluster is heated up to welding temps, it weakens so I am hesitant to weld the two strips on top together. Someone please feel free to educate me on the necessity if you feel its required. Thanks

It's not to be welded in that area. See the attached photo from a factory 4 place fuselage.

Thanks for the reply. I sent a photo to Bob and he said the weld is Ok.
