Here's some updates on the UL520 Turbo engined Patrol SP from Ireland... many little mods needed to adapt to the UL motor instead of the Lycoming 0-320. This all adds a lot of time and head scratching and working out different little solutions but I guess that what makes this build so enjoyable too. Maybe something here might be useful for others...
Fuel Pumps & filters are located out of the way under the rear seat but easily accessed for maintenance.

Covered the interior with Oratex off cuts from the tail feathers, very easy given it's a pre-finished product and pleasing too, given it's so light and extremely strong. Shrinking scraps of Oratex around the vertical pillars encased the fuel supply and vent lines nicely into place too.
The pumps feed from a small 3 litre tank located in the corner of the cargo bay. I also had to accommodate vent lines from this fuel pot back up to the wings.
From a German automotive supplier (Indivitara) I used their self adhesive 3mm foam backed jet black Alcantara for the ceiling and window surrounds and a quilted self adhesive anthracite collar for the sides. It only weighs 200 grams per sq. M so I decided for plushness and sound proofing it was worth the small weight gain!
Rear joystick is removable with a locking pin and audio jack on the floor.

From Easy Composites I got a nice lightweight and incredibly strong 5mm Carbon / foam sandwich board for the rear cargo bulkhead. I attached an off-cut of stringer material to a hinge and affixed the left-over carbon board to that for a fold down avionics tray for easy access.

Servo Installation for pitch and yaw, roll servo is below the pilot seat.

Pitch trim is done using the Garmin G3X mounted on a small tray in the tail. I used the stitch-less system from Oratex on the tail feathers and flying controls which worked out nicely so I used their 1.4mm beech cap strips on the fuselage stringers too - perhaps it will take out the sharp edge lines and give a better and stronger bond for the covering material.
Next job is the Oratex on the rest of the fuselage, bottom panel was done yesterday, which was very easy but I'm dreading that transition at the base of the vertical stab!
Engine mount is coming next week, and the boffins in UL Power calculated a lengthened noise of 172mm so I'll have further fun redesigning the cowling then!
