I used a step drill for my corner radius and then a new dremel saw (disk) blade. Putting the tape down and cutting inside the tape line made it a lot easier.

My lens will have a backing for the nut plates/anchor nuts.

Fuel panel is all upsized to #6 screw size, nearly half of the nutplates are installed

Now that the first went well, I will assembly line the last 5.

Nev it seems like too many great video moments are lost to battery issues. I decided to take that element out of the equation. I will have one in each wing, GoPro on the left wing, Insta360x3 on the right wing

I had been putting off the last 5 inspection covers and the nutplates. But today was the day, all are done, and 4 of the 5 are riveted to the skin (no photo), the 5th I purposely left as I need every bit of space to put in the conduit for my wiring.

Conduit for the wing wiring is installed, multiple purple para cord has been fished through to pull wires when ready. The OAT to Magnetometer has been run through a protective tube and run to the wingtip

Fuel tank is in place to get the lines for the sump drain

Jay: I am getting ready to install conduit in the wing like you. Is there a reason you did not keep the conduit in the leading edge ribs for the whole run?

I really like the idea of keeping the conduit forward of the front spar, the process of attaching it up there was just too much trouble

The long awaited drilling and multiple match drilling took place today

And then the lens gets drilled, this was a bit tricky as I could see the holes underneath pretty well

After all the holes were match drilled, they were upsized for the #6 screws

Next was installing the nut plates in the backing plate followed by using click bond to install it.

Drilled the hole for the fuel tank Curtis drain, it was off by about 1/64th” so a bit of sand paper on one side made for a good fit.

I did a ton of research as I disliked batteries running out. The product I am using used to be FlightFlix, but FlightFlix was sold. The original owner kept the technology and he is GREAT to deal with.

I wired my panel with a “Camera” rocker switch so I can control things. I don’t want to post Ryan’s phone number online, but if interested PM me and I will send it to you.

Super easy to wire, and weighs next to nothing.
