A cone shaped K & N filter is used. This system is flying on two Model 5's, and working well. The alternate air function seems to work fine, and at high airspeeds it seems to give some ram air effect to boost up manifold pressure.
On the aluminum part that bolts to the front face of the injector body - this was designed for the FI unit that is on the prototype Model 5. We have since learned there are other injector bodies that have different bolt patterns. If that is the case for your engine, then another aluminum plate would be riveted to the existing one to attach it the fuel injector body.
