Firewall and tunnel

I am lining up my tunnel to the firewall and the firewall opening is 21.75in. The tunnel width is 22.125. Is there any issue with handing the tunnel on the outside of the firewall flang? If I do that it will line up right. If not it has a big warp in the middle.

I didn't see any issue but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I added a piece of aluminum angle to straighten the front end of the tunnel out and allow for an easy connection to the firewall.
