    Hello All,

Just doing my intro post. I’m interested in building an airplane in the next few years and the Bearhawk Patrol is at the top of my list. I am planning on ordering the plans to once the holidays are over so I can study up and make plans until I can actually start the build. I have signed up so I can ask a few questions before deciding between the Patrol and the 4-Place. My name is Brandon and I'm in West Texas.

Howdy Brandon! Mark Goldberg and the Bearhawk Aircraft company are also in Texas, so I'm sure he'd be glad to show you around both planes (actually all three). I'm sure it won't make it any easier to pick one, though.

Welcome to the club I have just to day bought the plans for the bearhalk 4 place it looks to me to be the better option if you have your PP,L it seems to me that it's like the camping car of the sky. And very practical. I plan to write a parts list to include all the components and metal required for the build if you choose this aircraft I would be happy to share my plan and discuss the build with the forum.

I am planning on going and visiting them before I actually start building anything. It is a 6 hour drive from Lubbock to Austin so I'm going to do some research here first.

I was originally looking at the 4-Place as it has the largest useful capacity but I am a pretty big guy and know I would not be comfortable sitting side by side in that plane. It looks to me like you would have about 11 more inches of shoulder room with the inline seating of the Patrol.

That was my reasoning for the Patrol as well. It is a very rare occurrence for me to fly with more than one other person, so the tandem seating with TONS of shoulder room was my best option. I also like the fact that I can pull the back seat out and have LOTS of space for Pilots & Paws missions. I hope to see a lot of the USA while saving some dogs in the process...
