i am a returning member, Sudbury, Ontario. Built and flew the yellow amphibious Bearhawk Oshkosh 2011. Made a lot up grades to it and had about 100 hours on it when a storm got it, first time it was ever outside! Haven't got the energy to do the rebuild so would love to get a home for her. Very fast airplane on floats cruised at 135mph. Mike sn463

Sorry to hear about the loss of your aircraft Mike. It would be a shame to lose that plane permanently. It's a very nice example.
If the damage is not too bad, I think finding a home for it wouldn't been too hard. I know of several people would might be interested. It would be good to know what condition it's in.
P.S. what did you use for the nose bowl?

Sorry we tried to get so many different nose bowls to fit the 520 Cont. that I can't remember what I finished with, my guess is a Cessna 182 modified. The major damage to the aircraft was to the wings. They are repairable but that's the major work. FLoats, engine, fuselage not bad. I see a thread about amphibious floats, just like to add that they have a real place in aviation and perform (some ) very well. Ability to get fuel on cross country flights like Canada to Florida every fall is worth everything to me.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

So sorry to hear your situation. Sometimes, what seems a disaster, turns out OK. Hope this is the case.
I recall an active thread about a pair of wings for sale. Could be that two sales make for a happy outcome.

I'm near Ottawa. Almost done with my build...welll I hope.
I'll be looking for amphib float soon after my 1st flight.
Tell us more about your float: displacement, weight, Clamar right?
Get a pair of QB wing (B model) and you'll be ready for the next float season!!!

Hello all, I’m a “not so new†builder, but new to the forum. I picked up a scratch build Patrol project a few years back and have been working slowly but surely ever since. I currently have a fuselage on gear, an engine ready to hang and wing parts ready for assembly. This is my 3rd project, but 1st scratch build... and I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying the experience, even if it is taking me three times as long to make progress. Now that the small pieces are becoming big pieces, and the big pieces are ready to come together to make an airplane, I’m relying more and more on tips and techniques on this forum. I’m also ready to step up and say I am officially a Patrol builder so I can start asking questions on the forum.

I too am in the Ottawa area like Mike (aero_tango) above, but I'm scratch building and am a looong way from flying :-)
