Hello, I am a retired pilot near Austin Tx. I recently got my TW endorsement and have been flying a friends Maule. I have a few acres and have been looking at options for aircraft to operate off of a short strip.
The Bearhawk line seems to be a good choice for the type of flying I am planning. The 4 place would be the best overall, but realistically I rarely have more than one passenger. The Companion would probably be the best option. I would like to get a little hands on experience with the airplane and would appreciate the opportunity to assist local builders on their projects.

Where did you get the TW endorsement?

The sign off came from Jef at ink. He is an active Maule instructor and quite good at it!

Mr DoubleHH - you are welcome to come visit and see what the planes and kits look like. 9TE7. Mark

The closest EAA chapter is in San Marcos. Unfortunately, we have had the last meeting for the year. The website has newsletters.

Local EAA chapters allows you to share your interest with thousands of other members in a variety of different events and activities, including fly-ins, picnics, workshops, Young Eagles rallies, and more.

Also, if you see a post from Jared about a bearhawk ZOOM meeting you want to sign on.

Thanks Mark. I would like to do that. It might be after the first of the year though.

Thanks Stan. I will look into the San Marcos EAA chapter. My runway and shop are only 5 miles from the airport.
I considered joining last summer but had not narrowed the options enough at that time. My age is a prime consideration in the decision.
I will keep an eye out for the ZOOM meeting. Thanks.

We can do another meeting this month if someone wants to host one. I have a plan for early December otherwise.

Thanks Jared, there’s no need to do an extra meeting for me. We stay pretty busy this time of year, with the holidays. We also have the grand kids visiting for another two weeks. I will be watching for the December meeting.
