Does anyone have any experience with MGL Avionics packages yet, versus Dynon?

I found this old question on an exact subject of interest to me, as well, because I'm considering the MGL Lite for my LSA. A friend has a Foxbat A22 LSA coming ready to fly in a few weeks with the MGL Lite, so I will get a chance to see that one soon. It is considerably cheaper than the Dynon units, I think, but I wonder if it is as good. Any input that would help with this decision would be welcome.

I have flown behind both, but not both in the Bearhawk (RV).
There are certainly many differences in system design, display style, icon size on screen, and functionality.
If possible, I suggest you try flying with both if you can wrangle it. It struck me that one may be a much better fit for certain peoples tastes, compared with the other.

I've been using MGL's products since 2001, when they first started producing their smart singles instruments. Since then I have installed quite a few of their different EFIS systems and all my customers have been very pleased. I decided to become a dealer for them about 5 years ago. I really like their engine interface method and the systems are easy to install. The new iEFIS and iEFIS Lite are very good. I've installed Dynon, Advanced, Grand Rapids, Blue Mountain and Garmin (just finishing dual Garmin 3GX Bearhawk right now) so I have been able to see first hand the differences. They are all good, but the new MGL iEFIS Lite would be going into my panel.
It really comes down to what your mission is, your budget and preference, in deciding who to go with.
