Help for DG clamps

While building a servo mount, inside (closed) left wing, I needed to install a couple of DG clamps on the aileron bellcrank mount tube. Forgive me if I'm using the wrong term here. I'm not in the shop now. Working inside, through a restricted opening, I started considering how to compress the clamps and install the screws, with one hand... Following, is what I came up with. Total cost is a couple of pennies and it worked GREAT!

Pretty cool. I ended up sacrificing a pair of vise-grips by welding some duck bills into them. Some of the worst welding I've ever done (I wildly MIG'd them), but they work. Your solution is oddly elegant.

Everybody has a WDG clamp "moment" during their build. I went the pliers route too, after I regained my composure.
