Cutting aluminium like a hot knife through butter

I’m now using an angle grinder with 4 inch cutting disk. It’s working flawlessly for straight line cuts.

What type of disc have you found to work best with aluminum?

Let me check later Dave. To be honest I simply said to the hardware store fellow “do these things cut metal” and he said they do. It’s very fast, and easy to keep straight.

Thanks Nev. The cheap discs I buy work pretty well with steel but I've been disappointed when trying to cut aluminum. Maybe I just need to buy a more expensive disc. BTW, I have a high school buddy that lives in Auckland. I visited him many years ago but never made it to the South island. I'd love to make another trip there.

HF discs don't last very long. I haven't tried them on AL though.
