  • Best rivet tool for pocket rib installation?

In the spirit of the ongoing "riveting" discussion...

What technique do folks suggest to rivet the pocket ribs to the attach angles on the back of the rear spar? They are very tight corners. On the flap & aileron angles, which were a similar scenario, I used a rivet gun with extension and angled set but I also had pretty good ergonomics.

I am not there yet but I do have a question. Should those ribs be installed before the rear spar is loaded into the assembly fixture?

I took the route of not putting wings into vertical assembly for skinning until after the skeleton was assembled on the trued table (I believe this was Bob's method). In checking my log I see I fitted center ribs first and then did pocket ribs. But I don't think it really matters, just whatever seems easier for you. Personally riveting on the table was a lot easier than trying to work near the floor to do them and gives you a true plane to work off of.
