Thoughts on priming stringers.

I have stringers cleco’d in place on our BH5 build, so I can remove them to prime. I notice in some build videos & photos that they are often not primed. Just seeking input, particularly from earlier builders as to how they look after a few years and whether the surface deteriorates if not primed.
I have used self etching primer on some remotely mounted small items such as small trays, mounts, spacers etc., but if I prime stringers I would do them in a paint shop with a quality aircraft primer, as I expect the fabric chemicals could remove or damage a self etching spray bomb primer.
I am in a dry climate, but considerations include quality, resale, cost / time, weight etc., and am leaning toward doing them.
Thoughts?

IMHO seems a bit of "overkill" - I did not even consider doing them but for a second of two...

Stringers are 6061 they will not corrode for a long time. The green primer in the wings is used mainly due to the 2024T3 construction which is a stronger alloy, but less corrosion resistant thus demanding the use of primer. We do not prime stringers on factory built aircraft.

My stringers are practically living in a coastal environment for the last 15 years, always hangered, but show zero corrosion. They are unpainted.
