  • Vertical Fin Stringer Mount

I'm probably over thinking this but I can't find a reference anywhere with an answer. I'm fitting the bent tube that is welded to the front vertical fin that the top stringers merge into. Recall that the front fin tube is welded 3/4" to left of center line of the fuselage. So is the curved tube welded to maintain the off-center plane defined by the front fin and tail tube (continuing with the divergence from the centerline), or do I rotate it to the right side and weld it to maintain the 3/4" offset parallel to the centerline?

    Best,
    John

Just do it how you think it will look the best. The stringers are pretty much aesthetic. Here's a picture I took today as to what I did with mine.I put blue tape on the schnabel so you can see it better. It starts to point toward the middle. As I said, pure aesthetics. DSCF7472.JPG

Thanks Guys. I had pretty much decided to rotate it back toward the centerline. I think that would make the merge with the stringers flow better. Onward!
