  • Flap and ailerons positioning for spar riveting

I just filled my balance tubes with lead. I expect to have these installed tonight and then flush pop rivet aileron skins to nose ribs. Flap pop riveting already completed. I hope to start flush riveting down spars and bottom gussets of all 4 components. I am looking for some input if available on tips for positioning flaps and ailerons, as well as any flush riveting tips as far as bucking bars are concerned etc. I took a break from the wings to tackle these four projects so I will be ready to tackle the wings with hopefully a bit of confidence. The wings are basically ready to dismantle, debur ribs and attach angles, prime a few parts as in a few brackets and false spar, then rivet skeleton together...i hope to be at wing skins in a few weeks. Good progress so far I think. Thanks all. Oh..i will have my brother for the next riveting job. I've been managing on my own up to this point.

Highly recommend a tungsten bucking bar. Mine is about 1x1x2.25??? with one end angled.
