  • Fuel pressure sender location

Wondering about fuel pressure sending unit location. As i mentioned on another thread, spoke with dynon today and the okayed everyones input on manifold press port at #3 primer port. Thanks again all. He couldnt answer my question regarding location of fuel pressure sender location for some reason. I will have a totally gravity fed fuel system, lycoming O360, no engine driven pump or electric pump. Was considering mounting fuel pressure sender in a T fitting after gascolator, as sender is .125 npt, any input, as always would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks..

You would just skip fuel pressure if you are gravity fed. I think there is a spec for a gravity fed carb what I was looking into it and it's like .25 or something. So it's just not really applicable.

Thats what i figured really. Dynon advised i needed it but likely didnt realize there was no pump whatsoever. I thougjt it would be quite useless but i have sender so was thinking to install it anyway????

It'll probably read between 0 and 1 always. So... sure?

Is the sole purpose of fuel presuure sender only to read fuel pressure?;; has nothing to do with any other calculations in software?;; i expect it is solely for fuel pressure and that is all...if thats the case it really doesnt make any sense to install it i would say...i believe zkelley , you agree with that

Absolutely useless in a gravity-fed system, Sell it and take your wife to dinner.

I dont think i need to know if there might be 2 pounds in a positive G maneuver rather than 0 to 1normally🙄
