Oil temp sender gasket

Not sure what type gasket to use on my oil temp sender. Looks like it would accept an O ring? Doesnt look to me to have quite enough surface area for crush washer? Or fuel lube sealant on the threads? Not sure which one i should use. Or combination of two, which doesnt make sense to me either. Thanks
