I'm wondering what others have done to seal where the fuel tank filler necks protrude through wing skin, if anything. I had originally thought I would use a small bead of ProSeal, but wondered if there is too much movement up and down that would quickly break the seal. Also, any thoughts on how much clearance to leave around the filler neck? Mine fit fairly snug - not tight but snug. Thanks.

Sealing Fuel Tank Filler Necks

Thanks, guys. I have already made rings I was going to rivet or fasten with screws and nutplates to the top of the skins. I wasn't lucky (or that skilled) with the placement of my original holes.Like the idea of the neoprene sandwiched in between using screws to attach so it can be replaced if ever necessary. Have heard good stuff about Lexel for sealing around plexi, etc. but can imagine it might not be "fuel friendly."
